How do you share a file or folder via link?
Under Dateien (Files), tap “Teilen” (Share) next to a scanned file, or “Ordner teilen” (Share folder) inside a folder, set the duration and protection, and tap “Link erstellen” (Create link). Then send the tiaki.me link on.

With a share link on tiaki.me, you give customers or partners a file or an entire folder – with a password, expiry date or email check if you like.
Step by step
- Open Dateien (Files).
- Tap Teilen (Share) next to a file. For a whole folder, open it and tap Ordner teilen (Share folder) at the top.
- Under Was dürfen Empfänger? (What can recipients do?), choose Ansehen und herunterladen (View and download), Nur ansehen (View only) or Nur Vorschau (Preview only).
- Under Wie lange gilt der Link? (How long is the link valid?), choose 1 Tag (1 day), 7 Tage (7 days), 30 Tage (30 days), Eigenes Datum (Custom date) or Unbegrenzt (Unlimited).
- Switch on protection if needed: Passwort verlangen (Require password), E-Mail-Adresse abfragen (Ask for email address) or Downloads begrenzen (Limit downloads).
- Want to be notified? Switch on Bei jedem Abruf benachrichtigen (Notify me on every access).
- To send the link right away, switch on Empfänger per E-Mail einladen (Invite recipients by email) and enter up to 20 addresses.
- Tap Link erstellen (Create link). Use the copy icon next to the address to copy the link.
Tip: Always send a password through a different channel than the link, e.g. by messenger. It’s never included in invitation emails.
Note: A shared folder shows all scanned files directly in that folder, but no subfolders.
Changing or ending a share
You’ll find all shares under Geteilte Links (Shared links). Tap one: Ändern (Edit) adjusts the settings, + 7 Tage (+ 7 days) or + 30 Tage (+ 30 days) extends it, and Freigabe beenden (End sharing) closes the link immediately. You’ll also see who opened or downloaded it and when.
Not working?
- No Teilen button? Sharing only works once the virus scan is done and the file shows “geprüft” (scanned).
- Recipient sees “abgelaufen” (expired)? Extend the share under Geteilte Links.
- Password rejected? It needs at least 6 characters. After 5 failed attempts, tiaki.me waits 15 minutes.
- File deleted? Then its link no longer works either.
