How do you use the calendar with occasions for your posts?
The calendar shows public holidays, school vacations, awareness and world days, your own events and posts. Open an occasion and tap “Beitrag dazu” (Post about it) – the occasion is then already filled in.

The calendar is full of post ideas: public holidays, school vacations, awareness and world days, traditions and fun days – plus your own events and all scheduled and published posts.
Step by step
- Open Kalender (Calendar).
- At the top, choose what you want to see: Alles (All), Anlässe (Occasions), Veröffentlicht (Published) or Geplant (Scheduled).
- The colored buttons show or hide types, e.g. Feiertage (Holidays) or Kuriose Tage (Fun days). Mehr Filter (More filters) narrows things down by audience or industry.
- Tap an occasion. You’ll see where the day comes from, matching images and your posts about it from previous years.
- Tap Beitrag dazu (Post about it). The editor opens with the occasion, and under Zeitpunkt (Time) you can choose “Am Anlass” (On the occasion).
Saving an occasion or getting a reminder
- In the occasion, tap Markieren (Mark). You’ll find all marked days under Anlässe → Meine (Mine).
- Under Erinnern (Remind), choose when tiaki should remind you: Am Tag (On the day), 1 Tag vorher (1 day before), 3 Tage vorher (3 days before), 1 Woche vorher (1 week before) or 2 Wochen vorher (2 weeks before).
Adding your own event
- Tap Termin (Event) at the top.
- Enter a title and date, plus a time and reminder if needed. For anniversaries, switch on Jedes Jahr (Every year).
- Tap Speichern (Save).
Note: School vacations and all regional holidays only appear once the German state is selected. Owners and managers set this at the top via Bundesland wählen (Choose state).
Tip: The search quickly finds occasions and your own posts, e.g. “Muttertag” (Mother’s Day) or “Inventur” (Stocktaking).
Not working?
- No school vacations showing? The state is still missing – see the note above.
- An occasion is missing? Check whether its type (e.g. Gedenktage (Remembrance days)) is switched on and whether Mehr Filter is hiding something.
