How do you schedule a post for later?

Last reviewed 2 min read

In the post, tap “Zeitpunkt” (Time) at the bottom, pick a suggestion or your own day and time, then tap “Planen” (Schedule). tiaki publishes it right on time.

You decide when your post appears – tiaki then publishes it on its own, even when you’re not online. All times are German time.

Step by step

  1. Open your post, or write a new one under Beiträge (Posts) → Neuer Beitrag (New post).
  2. In the bar at the bottom, tap Zeitpunkt (Time). Wann soll er erscheinen? (When should it appear?) opens.
  3. Pick a time (see below) and tap Übernehmen (Apply).
  4. Tap Planen (Schedule). If you’re a team member, the button says Zur Freigabe (Submit for approval) – an owner or manager then schedules it.
  5. Your post now appears under Beiträge → Geplant (Scheduled) and in the Kalender (Calendar) on its publishing day.

Which times can you choose?

  • Nächster guter Zeitpunkt (Next good time) – 9:30 a.m. or 12:00 noon on weekdays, 10:00 a.m. on weekends.
  • Morgen Mittag (Tomorrow at noon) – tomorrow at 12:00 noon.
  • Am Anlass (On the occasion) – only if you’re writing the post for an upcoming occasion from the calendar.
  • Jetzt veröffentlichen (Publish now) – right after scheduling (owners and managers only).
  • Eigener Zeitpunkt (Custom time) – enter day, month, year and time yourself, e.g. 09:30.

Note: After publishing, the post shows for each profile whether it went live, and Ansehen (View) opens it directly on the network.

Tip: During the trial, you can schedule one post per day. With a plan, you can schedule as many as you like.

Not working?

  • “Der Zeitpunkt liegt in der Vergangenheit” (The time is in the past): Choose a later time.
  • “Dieses Datum oder diese Uhrzeit gibt es nicht” (This date or time doesn’t exist): Check the fields under Eigener Zeitpunkt – for example, February 31 doesn’t exist.
  • “… erlaubt höchstens … Zeichen” (… allows at most … characters): The text is too long for one network. Shorten it or remove that network.
  • Post didn’t appear? Open it: each profile shows whether it was published or what went wrong. Often the connection to the network has expired.
