How do you change the description and services in your Google profile?
In the “Profil” (Profile) tab of your Google location, you change the description under “Name & Geschichte” (Name & story) and add new services under “Leistungen” (Services). Nothing changes on Google until you tap “An Google senden” (Send to Google).
In the Profil (Profile) tab, you manage everything Google shows about your business: description, contact details, address, categories, services and attributes. tiaki helps you write.
Changing the description
- Under Netze (Networks), open Profile (Profiles), tap your location and switch to the Profil tab.
- Expand Name & Geschichte (Name & story).
- Write your Beschreibung (Description, up to 750 characters) – or tap Mit tiaki schreiben (Write with tiaki), choose keywords and tap Vorschlagen (Suggest). In das Feld übernehmen (Insert into field) puts the suggestion in the field.
- Tap An Google senden (Send to Google).
Adding a service
- In the Profil tab, expand the Leistungen (Services) section.
- Tap Leistung hinzufügen (Add service).
- Enter the Leistung (Service) and, if you like, a Kurzbeschreibung (Short description) and a Preis in Euro (Price in euros).
- Tap An Google senden.
Tip: With Profil prüfen (Check profile), tiaki looks at what Google offers for your category that’s still missing from yours. You add missing services by tapping the suggestion.
Note: Every night, the Wächter (Guard) compares your profile on Google with what’s in tiaki. Under Wächter & Änderungen (Guard & changes), choose whether it should just Melden (Notify) or Zurücksetzen (Revert) changes made from outside.
Not working?
- “Google prüft gerade eine Änderung an diesem Profil” (Google is currently reviewing a change to this profile): Until Google is done, it still shows the old version.
- Changed the address but nothing happened: Google reviews every address change, which can take a few days.
- “Ändern können nur Inhaber und Verwalter” (Only owners and managers can make changes): Team members can only view the profile.
- Google rejected it: Under Wächter & Änderungen, Letzte Änderungen (Recent changes) shows what wasn’t accepted.
